The North of Holland, had always a special feeling with Heavy Metal Music. Metal freaks with the heart on the right side. Years ago we saw great bands at Waldrock, one of the biggest metal events in The Netherlands. Now we have at least two great Festivals in this part of Holland; Dokk’em Open Air and Into The Grave Festival. And we also don’t forget Stonehenge Festival that takes place in Steenwijk, near Wolvega and Heerenveen.19 and 20 June we will see some great bands first of all at Dokk’em Open Air. Wit bands like: My Dying Bride, Candlemass, Biohazard, Legion of the Damned, Threshold, Masterplan etc. 25 July there will be the Stonehenge Festival at Steenwijk with bands like: Devin Townsend Project, Marduk, Vital Remains, Wehrmacht, Master, Broken Hope, Hirax etc. And 8August this year we have in the centre of Leeuwarden the Into the Grave Festival with a great line-up like: Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Sepultura etc. So, if you live in the North of Holland or other places in Holland or Germany and you are a metal freak then this summer could be a nice one….Our first stop will be Dokk’em Open Air…Later more about the other two festivals….
