KISS legend Gene Simmons has unveiled the biggest and perhaps most elaborate box set in rock history with The Vault. Simmons visited our studio with one of his Vault box sets to show us all the intricate details of the $2,000 collection of his personal history.

The Vault contains a massive 150 never-before-released songs from Gene Simmons, including collaborations with artists like Bob Dylan, the Van Halen brothers and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, along with fellow KISS icons Paul Stanleyand Ace Frehley. The songs fill up 10 CDs, which are packaged in the official 50,000-word Vault book.

The tracks span from 1966 to 2016, with the earliest cut written by Gene when he was just 14-years-old. “I was in junior high school in New York City,” Simmons recalls. “Because I wasn’t born in America, my language skills weren’t what they should be. I wrote a song called “My Uncle is a Raft” because he always keeps me floating. At the time, I thought this was genius lyric writing. In retrospect, it’s got a certain charm.”

Along with an actual vault, the box set includes a Gene Simmons gold coin that says “In Gene We Trust” on one side and “If it’s too loud, you’re too old” on the other. Anyone who grabs The Vault will also get a Gene Simmons action figure.

In this interview, Gene also describes the special $50,000 and $25,000 packages fans can buy with The Vault, so check out the clip above to get all the info. To grab one of Gene Simmons’ The Vault box sets, head over to GeneSimmonsVault.com. (info: Loudwire.com)
