In the second part of a recent interview with the “White Line Fever” podcast (hear audio below), MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson spoke about the musical direction of the band’s forthcoming studio album, which is tentatively due in late 2015 or early 2016.

“Well, I’d like to think it’s not gonna be a stinker, that’s for sure,” he said. “I’d like to think it’s gonna be a pretty kick-ass record. Yeah, I’ll tell you, there’s a couple of things on there that are certainly heavy, but they’re very forward-thinking for MEGADETH — in a good way; not some pop right turn or anything like that. So I’d like to think when the record says ‘MEGADETH‘ on it, you’re gonna get MEGADETH inside of it.”
