The 26th annual Stonehenge Festival, Steenwijk is cut short for the first time as ‘extreme weather conditions’ roll in

The Stonehenge festival at Stationplein 1, Steenwijk was cut short July 26 after organizers canceled the festival because of dangerous weather.

“Stonehenge festival has shut down for the remainder of the festival due to extreme weather conditions. We apologize to fans, but your safety is our main concern,” the festival posted just before 5 p.m.”.

Attendees were told to evacuate the festival grounds six hours before Stonehenge was scheduled to end. The festival also reiterated that, even if weather conditions improved, there would be no re-entry.
